About Afallon

Afallon is a charming detached house set in the village of Mathry, less than 2 miles from the coast. Once the home and surgery of the village district nurse, it has been renovated to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation, with a useful boot and utility room for drying walking gear and a ground floor shower makes it ideal for keen walkers and cyclists.

The kitchen is well-equipped with lovely views over the garden and fields beyond and leads through to the dual-aspect sitting room with lovely corner sofa and wood burning stove to ensure a cosy feel. French doors open to the enclosed, rear garden with lawn and gravel patio, perfect for enjoying an alfresco meal with super rural views over the rolling green fields or relax at the front of the cottage, a sheltered spot to catch the afternoon sun.

Stairs lead up to two bedrooms and a bathroom, the double has a fresh seaside feel, there is a lovely nook on the landing to just sit and soak up the view, bird watch or admire the night skies, the area is designated a dark sky with no light pollution, so the stars are amazing.

Afallon is perfect for walking or cycling, footpaths and country lanes abound, there is a popular pub and tea rooms within walking distance in the village itself, at the top of the village, the view over the coast will make you appreciate how close you are to the sea, the picturesque fishing village of Abercastle is only 2 miles away. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal path to really explore this stunning rugged coastline, visit the pretty coves of Abermawr and Aberfelin or further afield lies Trefin, Porthgain and Abereiddy with its Blue Lagoon. The Woollen Mill at Tregwnt is well worth a visit.

Conveniently situated, you are within easy reach of Fishguard with its selection of shops, pubs and leisure centre or the tiny city of St Davids offers a range of pubs, galleries and restaurants, as well as its magnificent Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

Afallon is an ideal holiday home perfect for families and couples looking to explore this stunning part of Pembrokeshire.
